The Brewers settle for the series split in Arizona Thursday night as they were blanked by Arizona 4-0.  Each team took two games in the series with the Brewers being shut-out in both losses.

Milwaukee continued their inconsistent play on offense.  The Brewers went 0-for-9 with runners in scoring position in Thursday’s loss.  Ryan Braun says they had their chances:

On the mound, Zack Greinke pitched 7-innings giving up 2-runs on 5-hits.  The big blast was a 2-run home run by Arizona catcher Miguel Montero.  Greinke now sits 7-4 on the season.

Milwaukee now sits at 4-4 with 3-games left in their current 11-game road trip.  Tonight, Shaun Marcum takes on Matt Cain in the first of three with the San Francisco Giants.  A 9:15 first pitch.
