Carlos Villanueva pitched four scoreless innings of relief to help the Milwaukee Brewers to a 4-0 win over the St. Louis Cardinals and a sweep of their 3-game series. It's the first sweep at home over the Cardinals since April of 2002.
Villanueva came on in the 4th after starter Chris Capuano left with a calf injury in the second inning. Capuano pitched the third but was taken out after that. He is expected to make his next start.
Prince Fielder drove in two of the Brewers four runs with a 2-run single off of Cardinals pitcher Anthony Reyes.
The Brewers improved to 18-9, the best record in baseball. They'll open a 4-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates at Miller Park tonight.
