The Milwaukee Brewers were swept by the Florida Marlins in Miami, falling 4-2 last night. The Brewers fell to 23-43 on the road and remained 4 1/2 games behind Cincinnati in the NL wildcard race. Ben Sheets took the loss, despite allowing just 1 earned run in seven innings. The sweep for the Marlins gives them 8-straight wins and a spot right in the middle of the NL wildcard race. The Brewers offense once again has been the problem. They managed to score just 12 runs against the Marlins pitching staff in the four games. Josh Johnson worked 7 2/3 innings to improve his record to 12-6 and lower his Major League leading ERA to 2.87. The Brewers open a 3-game road series in Houston against the Astros tonight.
