Just when it looked like the Milwaukee Brewers might be in trouble, they beat the Cincinnati Reds 8-1 yesterday, completing a 3-game sweep of the Reds in the series.  The Brewers out scored the Reds 24-5 in the series.

Carlos Gomez and Prince Fielder each clubbed 2-run homers in the 1st and Zach Greinke breezed through 7-innings to earn the win.

Greinke allowed only two hits and one run while striking out 10.

The win lowered the Brewers magic number to clinch their first NL Central Division title to 4.  They have 9-games left, including a 3-game series against the Chicago Cubs beginning tonight.
