The Milwaukee Brewers swept the St. Louis Cardinals with a 4-3 win on Thursday night.

Ryan Braun took Ryan Franklin deep for the game winning 2-run homer in the 9 th inning.  Braun was 4×4 on the night.  Ben Sheets gave up just 3 runs on four hits in seven innings worth of work and retired the final 10 batters he faced.  Eric Gagne pitched the 8 th to pick up the win.  Salmon Torres struck out the side in the 9 th for his 19 th save of the season.

Braun's round tripper was the 20 th straight game Milwaukee hit a home run.  That's a club record. The Brewers stay a game back of the Cubs in the NL central as they beat Florida 6-3 on Thursday.

Milwaukee opens up a seven game homestand tonight as Houston comes to Miller Park for a three game weekend series.
