The Brewers bang out 16 hits in a 6-3 10 inning victory over St. Louis on Monday night.
Brewers starter Seth McClung gave up a couple of first inning runs, but held St. Louis scoreless through five innings. Rickie Weeks gave Milwaukee the lead with a 3-run blast in the 5 th and that's how it stayed until the 9 th as Guillermo Mota, Eric Gagne, and David Riske threw scoreless frames.
St. Louis touched closer Salomon Torres for a run in the 9 th to send the game into extra innings. Bill Hall then led off the 10 th with a solo homer as Milwaukee scored 3 runs off of Ryan Franklin in the inning. Torres pitched a scoreless 10 th for the win.
The win pulls Milwaukee even with St. Louis for the National League Wild Card. The series continues in St. Louis tonight as Jeff Suppan takes on Kyle Lohse
