The Brewers looked like they had a win in the bag.  Baseball’s all-time saves leader, Trevor Hoffman was on in the 9th to hold a 7-4 lead, but he served up a 2-run homer to Albert Pujols and a game tying solo shot to Matt Holliday, his second blown save in the last three games.  Is Hoffman concerned?

Hoffman is now 2 for 4 in save opportunities this season.  He said last night it was simply a matter of missing his spots.

Rickie Weeks led off the bottom of the first with a home run.  Corey Hart and Ryan Braun also homered for the Brewers, who evened their record at 3-3 and avoided a 3-game sweep.

Randy Wolf pitched into the 7th, allowing just 2-earned runs, but was saddled with a no-decision after Hoffman blew the 9th inning save.

The Brewers send Doug Davis to the mound this afternoon in Chicago for the Cubs home opener.
