The Milwaukee Brewers blew a 3-0 lead, then got a late run to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-3 at Miller Park, earning a split of their 4-game series.
Prince Fielder and Mike Cameron hit back to back home runs in the second and the Brewers added to it with Corey Hart's rbi infield single in the 5th for a 3-0 lead. Cameron's home run marked the 1500th hit in his career. Arizona came back in the 7th with three home runs from Mark Reynolds, Justin Upton and Miguel Montero to tie the game at three.
The Brewers scored the game winner in the 8th on Chris Duffy's bases loaded rbi groundout which drove in JJ Hardy.
Starter Dave Bush fell apart in the 7th, but he still earns a quality start, working 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits with no walks and seven strikeouts. Mitch Stetter picked up the win in relief and Trevor Hoffman earned his 3rd save in three chances.
The Brewers (13-12) are 1/2 game behind 3rd place Cincinnati and 4-full games behind the St. Louis Cardinals in the Central Division. The Brewers open a 2-game series with the Pittsburgh Pirates tonight in Pittsburgh.
