A broken snowmobile windshield, found on a snowmobile trail just north of where five deer were brutally killed last Friday night, cold be the break Waupaca County authorities were looking for.
Sheriff's department Captain Don Conat says it was sent to the state crime lab Tuesday and investigators will look for fingerprints. He says detectives are also looking for any marks on the windshield that could help identify what make and model of snowmobile it belongs to.
Conat says its not clear if the windshield is connected to the attack.
A reward fund is set up for information that leads to a conviction in the case. As of Tuesday, that fund was up to nearly $10,000.
