Brookfield Central captured the WIAA boys summer baseball championship, knocking off Homestead 9-2 at Kapco Park in Mequon.

The win is a state-leading fourth summer title, which ties Oak Creek who also has four.  Central capped off the season with a 29-6 record.

Homestead finished 26-8, reaching the title game for the first time since 2003.

Central advanced to the title game be beating Plymouth 2-1 in the semifinals.  Homestead advanced to the championship game after knocking off Oak Creek 7-5 in the first semifinal game of the day on Friday.
