It’s been a long time since the Bucks had a playoff team and it seems even longer. Tuesday night’s 79-74 win over the Chicago Bulls put the Bucks into the playoffs for the first time since the 2005-2006 season.
They did it without injured center Andrew Bogut, who is out for the season after undergoing surgery on his hand on Tuesday. Veteran Kurt Thomas took Bogut’s place and pulled down 14 rebounds in the 5-point win.
John Salmons poured in 26 points against his former team and said the win is huge.

The Bucks are 19-6 since John Salmons came to Milwaukee from Chicago.
The loss for the Bulls kept them a game behind Toronto for the 8th and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs.
The Bucks are back home tonight to host the New Jersey Nets.
