Milwaukee Bucks logo 11The Milwaukee Bucks just beat the best team in the N-B-A on Saturday night, handing Golden State their first loss of the season.  Last night, the Bucks turned around and lost to one of the worst teams in the league, falling to the Los Angeles Lakers 113-95 at Staples Center.

The Bucks dropped their 10th straight road game, playing without center Greg Monroe, who injured his left knee at the Tuesday morning shoot-around.

Kobe Bryant had 22 points and six assists to lead the way for the Lakers (4-21).  D’Angelo Russell scored 19 off the bench.

Without Monroe, the Bucks were out-rebounded 52-38.  John Henson, who started in his place, finished with six points and four rebounds.

Michael Carter-Williams had 19 points, five rebounds and five assists for the Bucks (10-16) off the bench.  Khris Middleton added 16 points and Giannis Antetokounmpo had 15 points.

Vasquez could miss the rest of the season

The Bucks announced on Tuesday that guard Greivis Vasquez underwent surgery in New York to remove a bone spur and loose bodies from his right ankle.  The recovery time is expected to be three to four months, which means Vasquez could be out for the rest of the season.

Vasquez is in the final year of his contract and will be a free agent this summer.

The Bucks sent a protected 2017 first-round draft pick to Toronto for the 28-year-old Vasquez.
