The Milwaukee Bucks say they played with energy last night and it showed in the team's 103-98 win over the Detroit Pistons at the Bradley Center.

The Bucks led by as many as 21 in the 3rd quarter and had to hang on for the 5-point win, but it was a win they greatly needed.

Michael Redd scored 27 points, Desmond Mason had 16 and Andrew Bogut finished with a double-double, 14 points and 14 rebounds.

Detroit went on a 19-4 run to cut the Bucks lead to 95-92 with 1:12 left, but the Bucks hit 8 free throws down the stretch to survive.

The Pistons got to within 3 after Bucks guard Mo Williams tried to call a timeout while falling out of bounds with 7.6 seconds left.  The Bucks had none to take, which resulted in technical foul.  Detroit made the free throw, then got the ball, but missed a game tying three as time expired.

The Bucks are back in action Friday night against the Pistons at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
