Milwaukee Bucks logoThe Milwaukee Bucks didn’t win back-to-back games all of last season.  The string of 105 games without consecutive wins came to an end with Tuesday nights 85-78 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

Another solid effort by the Bucks (4-4) bench, led by O.J. Mayo’s 19 points and Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 14 points and nine rebounds.  Zaza Pachulia also added eight points and a team high ten rebounds in the win.

The only Bucks starter in double figures was Brandon Knight, who finished with 16 points.

After holding Memphis to 35% shooting from the field on Saturday, they did even better against Oklahoma City (2-6) last night, holding the Thunder to 33.3% shooting.  Oklahoma City continued to play without injured all-star starters Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.

Reggie Jackson had 29 points to lead the way for Oklahoma City, but the Thunder still fell to 0-5 on the road this season.

The Bucks entered last night’s game as the best bench scoring team in the league (45.4 ppg).  They outscored the Thunder reserves 53-22 last night.

Oklahoma City went to a zone defense in the fourth quarter but the Bucks did just enough to avoid a fourth quarter collapse.

The Bucks are off until Friday night when they travel to Orlando to face the Magic.
