On a night where former Milwaukee guard Michael Redd officially announced his retirement from the NBA, the Bucks didn’t disappoint.
O.J. Mayo scored 28 points, including six 3-pointers, and Gary Neal had 12 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter as the Bucks pulled out a 109-104 win at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
The Bucks played without guards Brandon Knight and Luke Ridnour, forward Ersan Ilyasova and center Larry Sanders.
The Bucks opened the fourth quarter with an 11-2 run to jump out to a 94-81 lead, but Kyrie Irving scored 10 straight points to help the Cavaliers rebound and take a 104-103 lead.
Caron Butler followed with a tip-in of a miss by Mayo with 24.8 seconds left to put the Bucks ahead 105-104. Mayo then capped things off with four free throws in the closing seconds as the Bucks evened their record at 2-2.
Kyrie Irving had 29 points to led the Cavs in the loss.
