The Bucks added some scoring punch and rid themselves of two problems on the roster with a trade on Tuesday. Milwaukee GM John Hammond shipped disgruntled guard Charlie Bell and underachieving center Dan Gadzuric to Golden State for Corey Magettee and the 44th overall pick in the Thursday night’s draft.
Maggette averaged just under 20 points and pulled down 7 rebounds last season in Golden State and will be expected to add some scoring punch to a team that most likley won’t have Michael Redd or John Salmons on the roster next year.
The Bucks also rid themselves of Bell, who has been unhappy with the team because of playing time and also Gadzuric who never lived up to the big contract he signed under former GM Larry Harris.
Milwaukee now has three 2nd round picks in Thursday’s draft, the 37th, 44th, and 47th, to go along with the 15th selection in the first round.
