Milwaukee Bucks head coach Scott Skiles said it wasn’t one of his teams better efforts last night, but they still beat the Washington Wizards 100-87 at the Bradley Center on Wednesday night.

It was far from a stellar effort by the Bucks and coach Scott Skiles said they need to do better.

Newcomer John Salmons scored 22 points and said they gave a better effort in the second half.  Salmons said he really didn’t know what to expect when he arrived in Milwaukee but is excited about his impact on the team.  The Bucks moved into the 6th spot in the Eastern Conference playoff chase, tied with Chicago and Salmons said the playoffs are within their reach.

The Bucks also got 15 points and five blocked shots from Andrew Bogut as they won for the 7th time in the last 8 games and 13th in the last 17 games overall. 

Ersan Ilyasova added 19 points and 10 rebounds and Jerry Stackhouse added 13  points.  The Bucks will face the Wizards again on Friday night, this time in Washington D.C.
