Milwaukee Bucks center Andrew Bogut is out indefinitely with a broken hand, dislocated elbow and sprained wrist.
Bogut was hurt Saturday night when he crashed to the court after dunking a ball in the teams win over the Phoenix Suns.
The Bucks chances of making any kind of an impact in the upcoming Eastern Conference playoffs were severely damaged. He is expected to undergo surgery and will miss the postseason. Bogut averaged 15.9-points, 10 rebounds and 2.5 blocked shots a game. His 175 blocked shots were the most by a Bucks player since Alton Lister had 177 during the 1982-83 season.
The Bucks still have to make the playoffs. Their magic number to clinch a spot in the Eastern Conference is 2 with a game at Chicago tomorrow night.
Veteran big man Kurt Thomas stands to get a lot of Bogut’s minutes. Thomas had 10 points and 7 rebounds in 31 minutes of playing time against the Suns.
