The Milwaukee Bucks climbed to within one game of idle New York for the final Eastern Conference playoff spot.  The Bucks knocked off the Cleveland Cavaliers 107-98 last night.

Newly acquired guard Monta Ellis saved the day for the Bucks.  Ellis poured in 30 points, including the final 16 points of the game.

Beginning with a jumper at the 4:32 mark, Ellis hit the Bucks’ last eight shots of the game, just what the Bucks had been looking for when Ellis came over in a trade with Golden State.

Brandon Jennings added 19 and Ersan Ilyasova scored 18 to help the Bucks cause.

Today is an off day for the Bucks.  They’ll host Charlotte on Friday night at the Bradley Center.
