The Green Bay Packers are now confirming that left tackle Bryan Bulaga is out for
the season with a torn ACL.
Bulaga suffered the injury in Saturday night’s Family Night scrimmage. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel first reported the story and said the injury was discovered by team physician Patrick McKenzie on Sunday.
A source told the newspaper that the Packers canceled a practice this afternoon, using the day to decide whether to use rookie 4th round draft pick David Bakhtiari at left or right tackle. Bakhtiari is reportedly the choice of the Packers to be inserted into the lineup and would play opposite of Marshall Newhouse.
Bulaga told the team his knee didn’t feel quite right after the scrimmage on Saturday night.
Bulaga also suffered a season ending hip injury in week 9 of last season.
