The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department has released video of an assault on a bus driver this week, in hopes the public may be able to identify the assailant.
The Milwaukee County Transit bus driver picked up a passenger at 60th and Silver Spring in Milwaukee, just after 3:00 Wednesday afternoon. According to the sheriff's department, the passenger boarded the bus and immediately assaulted the driver. The bus driver drove about two blocks before the subject grabbed and turned the steering wheel and stepped on the accelerator. The bus traveled about 50 years before crashing into a tree, at which point the suspect exited and ran north. The driver sustained minor injuries. Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office detectives are searching for a male, 17-20 years of age. He was wearing a red bandana and a red sweatshirt at the time of the assualt.
