Over 9300 hundred Packer shareholders showed up for the annual meeting on Thursday in Green Bay and for the most part, they seemed to back Packer management in the Brett Favre situation.  Both GM Ted Thompson and President Mark Murphy received applause from most fans.  A few disgruntled fans approached Murphy and Thompson in the Atrium when they met with the fans to make their displeasure for the team moving on known.

The Packer signed 4 th round pick Josh Sitton on Thursday and waived three players including former University of Wisconsin punter Ken DeBauche.

Shareholders were also told that the team's net income was more than $23 million dollars for this past year, which was in increase over the year before.

The Packers signed linebacker Brady Poppinga to a four year extension on Thursday. The 4 th year linebacker had one year left on his contract, so over the next five years, his new deal is worth about $17 million dollars.
