There's more fallout from that bitter race for state Supreme Court.

Several lawmakers and groups have called for changes to how races for the high court are carried out, after the recent contest between Justice Louis Butler and Michael Gableman. Gableman was able to defeat the incumbent justice in a race that saw an estimated $4 million spent by special interest groups.

Mike McCabe of the Wisconsin Democracy Campaign says allowing those groups to continue dominating the air waves will likely result in the "low road" being taken every time. He says voters were mislead and even lied to about the issues in the campaign, and it doesn't serve the interest of impartial justice.

McCabe says there should be new regulations on third-party groups that buy ads in the elections.
