Felony charges are expected in Kenosha County against two people accused of placing cameras inside the women’s locker room at the Pleasant Prairie Recreation facility.
Pleasant Prairie Police say 27-year old resident Melissa Wenckenbach of Pleasant Prairie and a 36-year old Waukegan man are jailed on felony charges of representations depicting nudity, after two cameras were found placed inside the locker room. Police say the incident did not involve children at the facility.
How any videos were used or if they were distributed remains under investigation by Pleasant Prairie Police, who are working with Waukegan Police and the Illinois State’s Attorney’s Office.
The RecPlex has a strict policy against photography or video recording in locker rooms, with inspections done frequently to enforce the rules. The facility is using additional security measures in the wake of the discovery, which includes even more inspections.
