Mike Cameron clubbed a pair of homers and the Milwaukee Brewers awoke from their early season hitting slump and beat the Cincinnati Reds 9-3 at Miller Park on Wednesday night. The Brewers salvaged the final game of the 3-game series and ended a 4-game losing streak.
The Brewers broke a 3-3 tie with a 5-run sixth inning. Bill Hall and Jason Kendall both produced run scoring doubles and Rickie Weeks clubbed a 2-run homer to give the Brewers an 8-3 lead.
Braden Looper (1-0) gave up three runs and six hits in six innings to earn his first win as a member of the Brewers. The Brewers improved to 3-6 with the win. They're off today and open a road trip with a series in New York against the Mets on Friday night.
