Brewers lefty Chris Capuano is most likely out for the 2007 season after team doctors found a tear in a ligament in his left elbow.  An MRI showed the damage to the elbow which would require "Tommy John Surgery."

Capuano will get a 2nd opinion from Dr. James Andrews before he decides if he wants to have the surgery.  Rehab time could take up to one-year if he does opt to go under the knife.  There is a small chance that he could try and rehab the injury, but that could take three months and he may still need the procedure so getting it fixed now may be the better option.  Cappy had the same injury and surgery back in 2002 while in the Arizona Diamondbacks minor league system and it took 11 months of rehab.

Since making the All-Star time in 2006 Capuano has struggled.  He jumped out to a 5-0 start in 2007 and then lost 12 straight decisions and the team lost 22 straight starts he made.  He was fighting for a spot in the Brewers rotation this spring.
