Supporters of the Affordable Care Act face an uphill battle as polling has shown more-and-more opposition since the law’s passage a couple of years ago. Candice Owley, president of the Wisconsin Federation of Nurses and Health Professionals, says when talking to people about specific parts of the law people “overwhelmingly” support the reforms.

“It’s in this broad statement of ‘do you support Obamacare or not,” she says which leads to people opposing it.

She touts the health reforms as insurers will no longer be able to discriminate on who receives coverage, and people into their late 20s can stay on their parents’ coverage.

Owley. who was a DNC delegate, says outreach is needed to inform voters about the health care law though the media, forums, and knocking on doors.

Republicans are vowing to repealing the health care act saying it will lead to ballooning costs and rationing of care.
