A year after a grizzly triple murder occurred in Rock County, District Attorney David O'Leary has filed charges in the case. Prosecutors filed three counts on Friday of First Degree of Intentional Homicide against 48-year-old James Koepp.
Danyetta Lentz, her 17-year-old daughter Nicole, and 14-year-old son Scott were found strangled and stabbed to death in their trailer south of Janesville on January 11th of 2007 . Koepp has been the prime suspect since early in the investigation, but officials say they waited until all evidence was processed at the state crime lab before moving ahead with charges.
Koepp is currently serving a prison sentence for drunk driving. He faces an initial hearing on the murder charges at the end of the month.
