Former Marquette standout and Chicago Bulls guard Jimmy Butler is the NBA’s Most Improved Player.

Butler easily won the honor receiving 92 of 129 first-place votes.  Draymond Green of Golden State finished a distant second.

Butler was the 30th overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft, averaging 20 points and 5.8 rebounds a game for a Bulls team that went 50-32 during the regular season.

Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo received one 1st-place vote and finished 7th overall.  Teammate Khris Middleton finished 13th.

Antetokounmpo scored his career high 27 points against Houston on Feb. 6th.  He had a 25-point, 12-rebound performance against the Bulls in game 3 of their NBA playoff series.
