State officials say an imported candy was on the grocery shelves in at least three Wisconsin cities, after the product was recalled late last month. White Rabbit, a creamy candy from China, was recalled by its distributor September 26th. But official from the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection said it was later found in stores in Eau Claire, Wausau, and Sheboygan, as well as a grocery distribution center in the state.

Wisconsin was not on the original list of places affected by the recall which took place because the candy may be contaminated with the industrial chemical melamine. No one has been reported sick from White Rabbit in Wisconsin or anywhere else. The candy is sold in 8-and-16-ounce bags. Consumers are urged to return it to the place where they bought it or else throw it away.
