If you plan on attending the Wisconsin -Michigan game, keep your eyes open. You never know who you'll see.
Does the name Sir Winston Churchill sound familiar? The grandson of Britain's former Prime Minister — Nicholas Soames — has never been to Wisconsin, but he's here now and calls it a "great treat."
"Saturday I'm going to the Badger game, which I'm told is more important even than war. It's been built up with me … for months now I've been told how exciting it's going to me and I'm very much looking forward to it."
Soames, a member of the British Parliament for the past 24 years, got an eye-full this morning in Madison.
"Today I saw an enormous Badger flag for the first time. So, they take it very seriously here."
Soames also got a chance to go hunting in our fine state and bagged almost three dozen pheasants.
Soames is in Madison for the 2007 Wimmer-Churchill lecture at the Wisconsin Veterans Museum .
