Wisconsin inside linebacker Jack Cichy will miss the rest of the season after suffering a left shoulder injury late in the first half of Saturday’s 17-9 win over the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Cichy leads the team in tackles with 60.  He had 10 in Saturday’s win, including nine in the first half.

Cichy, who was the Big Ten’s Defensive Player of the Week two weeks ago, suffered the injury trying to tackle Iowa running back Akrum Wadley along the sideline in the final minute of the first half.  Cichy wore a shoulder brace and played for the third quarter and into the fourth before finally coming out of the game.

Ryan Connelly replaced Cichy at Iowa and is expected to fill in this week when the Badgers host 7th ranked and unbeaten Nebraska on Saturday night at Camp Randall Stadium.

Connelly played against LSU after Chris Orr suffered a season-ending knee injury and recorded seven tackles.  He has 12 tackles in seven games.

Leon Jacobs is also expected to see some playing time.  He has nine tackles in seven games.

The Badgers will also be without nose tackle Olive Sagapolu against Nebraska.  Sagapolu has an arm injury and didn’t play against Iowa.

Cornerbacks Derrick Tindal, Natrell Jamerson and linebacker Zach Baun are all questionable for this week’s game.
