A shooting that divided the community of Racine has ended with a plea agreement. Adrial White shot at three car burglars in 2006, killing one of them. He was convicted of murder and attempted murder then  sentenced to life in prison. Although White's convictions were overturned, and a new trial was set for July, on Thursday he pleaded to a lesser charge.

Racine County DA Mike Nieskes thinks the plea deal will go a long way toward resolving debate about whether White was justified in using deadly force. Nieskes says White has now "admitted responsibility" unlike the previous not guilty plea in a claim of self defense.

White faces a maximum 65 years in prison and 30 years of extended supervision afterward when he's sentenced this summer.
