The Green Bay Packers may have lost the game, 30-22 to the San Francisco
49ers, but they may have found their newest weapon.
Second year wide receiver Randall Cobb caught 9 passes for 77 yards and returned a punt 75-yards for a touchdown. The return for touchdown is the third of Cobb’s career. He also returned a punt and a kickoff for scores last season.
Cobb played in receiver formation and out of the backfield, something they worked on during training camp.
The Packers only ran the ball 14 times for 45 yards, but Cobb’s work out of the backfield as a receiver was a welcomed addition.
