Sandy Cohen scored 24 points, including six three-pointers to lead the Marquette Golden Eagles to a 80-62 win over San Jose State at the BMO Harris Bradley Center on Tuesday night.
Cohen scored eleven of the Golden Eagles first 13 points.
Marquette led by as many as 24 points in the first half, but San Jose State closed the gap to six points early in the second half but couldn’t get any closer.
Henry Ellenson had 20 points and eight rebounds for the Golden Eagles, who won their sixth straight.
Cohen (from Seymour) squared off against former high school foe Cody Schwartz (from West De Pere). Schwartz had six points, five rebounds and four assists for San Jose State.
Marquette faces Wisconsin at the Kohl Center on Saturday.
