Democrats react strongly to President Bush's decision to commute the jail term of former White House aide Scooter Libby. Including Wisconsin Congressman Steve Kagen (D-Appleton)

Congressman Kagen says the president apparently doesn't believe in rule of law.

Kagen says the judge's original sentence was appropriate for the crime. Libby was convicted of lying to investigators during the investigation into who outed CIA operative Valerie Plame.

Congressman Kagen says President Bush's poor judgment is showing again.

The president did not pardon Libby. Just commuted the jail term. Libby remains a convicted felon. He still has to pay a hefty fine and will be put on probation.
