If you shop at Dunkin Donuts, you’ll likely to see a police officer today standing on the roof of the store as officers solicit donations for Special Olympics Wisconsin. The group’s John Weichelt says they’re expecting to raise $30,000 from the event.

Weichelt says in 2011, partnering with law enforcement throughout the year raised nearly $2.4 million for Special Olympics Wisconsin.

The Dunkin Donuts event is now in its second year with 15 locations participating. Weichelt says with the company planning expansion in Wisconsin, there is a lot of potential in future partnerships.
