The next Presidential election is still more than two years away, but speculation is already turning towards one Wisconsin Congressman.

State GOP Chairman Reince Priebus thinks U.S. Representative Paul Ryan (R-WI) could be a Republican candidate for President in 2012.

Ryan hasn’t talked about the possibility, but Priebus says he’s got a lot of name recognition and is a star of the national party. On top of that, Priebus says Ryan is “smart” and offers solutions.

Ryan has represented the First Congressional District in southern Wisconsin since 1998.
