As funeral services were held Wednesday morning for the principal of Weston School, a Madison counselor says child abuse may have been a factor in his tragic death.
There were ?red flags? years ago that Eric Hainstock needed help. That?s what Susan McBride of the Madison-based Exchange Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse is saying about the student accused of killing Weston School Principal John Klang last Friday. McBride says it?s too bad Hainstock didn?t get some special attention early on, and the tragedy is another indication why more money should be spent on stopping child abuse.
Hainstock remains in jail in Sauk County on a charge of first degree intentional homicide.
