Veteran defensive tackle Corey Williams is expected to draw some big time money when NFL free agency opens up, but the Packers have let it be known they're at least interested in pursuing a possible deal with Williams.

According to the Green Bay Press Gazette , the Packers are considering using their franchise tag on the defensive tackle, although it would cost them more than $6.2-million in salary to do so.

The Packers aren't sure if they'll be able to keep Williams around, but they have let his agent know that they would like him back in a Packers uniform next season.
