Investigators in Fond du Lac County say a vehicle roll-over that killed two teens over the weekend may have occurred more than 12 hours before the crash was discovered.
The crash scene was found in a farm field at around 7:15 Sunday morning, along a county road. Sheriff’s Captain Rick Olig says the vehicle was covered in snow with no signs of tire tracks, making it possible that the crash occurred at some point Saturday evening. Olig says the vehicle’s computer will be able to tell them when the airbag deployed, which should indicate the time of the crash.
Killed were Brandon Mans and Ari Ebling-Hopf, both 19-years-old, who were both pronounced dead at the scene. Olig says Mans was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. Ebling-Hopf’s body was found inside the vehicle.
