At a press conference Monday afternoon, the Dane County Coroner said there is not yet a positive identification of a body found south of Madison Monday morning. However, Coroner John Stanley said “the evidence at the scene indicates that this a female, and that it is probably the missing person that we've been looking for, Kelly Nolan.” Stanley said he would not be able to confirm that Monday. Stanley and Madison Police Chief Noble Wray said investigators are working slowly, to preserve any evidence that may be found at the heavily wooded site in Fitchburg. Wray said “a suspect remains at large.” Wray also said cell phone technology led investigators to the body, which was discovered in the course of a massive search for evidence in Nolan's disappearance. The 22 year-old was last seen June 23rd in downtown Madison.
