Dane County officials are scrambling to deal with a major printing error on ballots for the September primary. County Clerk Bob Ohlsen says about 75,500 ballots came back from the printer with multiple problems.

Among the errors are missing Assembly District numbers, as well as the name of an independent candidate in the 47th district. Write-in blanks for the Green and Libertarian parties in Senate races are also missing.

Ohslen believes the error is with the printer, Wisconsin Graphic Forms. The County has done business with the company for many years. A company representative says they're looking into it.

The ballots are being reprinted, which Ohlsen says will be a fairly expensive mistake to fix. Ohlsen says there will be a slight delay with some absentee ballots.
