Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk has dropped a bombshell. Falk held a surprise news conference late Monday morning where she announced she would resign from office April 1 of next year. She said she’s healthy, her marriage is happy and she’s not running for some other office, she just feels it’s time for something new.
Falk, who’s been Dane County Executive since 1997, turns 60 next year. While she said she’s not leaving to run for another office, she said never say never on whether she will run for something down the road.
