Police have released more information into the bar fight that killed one man and injured another in Rhinelander early Wednesday morning.

The deceased victim is 48-year-old James Tanner and the other man is 62-year-old John (CLUE-SAR-ICH) Klucarich. The two were inside Sackett’s Bar in Rhinelander when police say Tanner started a fight with Klucarich. Tanner landed a punch on Klucarich, who fell to the ground.

The DJ at the bar, 59-year-old Gregory Dryden, then tried to break up the fight by shoving Tanner away. Tanner went unconscious and could not be resuscitated. He was later declared dead inside an ambulance at the bar.

Klucarich was treated and released with head injuries.

An autopsy has been performed on Tanner, but the results have not been released. Police are not filing charges at this time.
