Wisconsin Democrats have removed one of their delegates to the National Convention.

Debra Bartoshevich drew fire from the Democratic party, after telling a reporter she would support Republican John McCain in November. She defended herself Friday to state party leaders, claiming the rules were not clearly laid out to her as a first time delegate.

Bartoshevich was a pledged delegate for Hillary Clinton, but told a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reporter that she would vote for John McCain in November after Clinton suspended her campaign. She still wants to support Hillary Clinton at the Democratic National Convention. However, Bartoshevich refused to answer who her vote would go to in the general election if Clinton is not on the ballot.

The Democratic Party of Wisconsin's administrative committee voted unanimously Friday to remove Bartoshevich as a delegate. Party Chairman Joe Wineke says she broke the rules by not supporting the party's nominee for president.

An alternate Clinton delegate will take her place.
