The Department of Motor Vehicles is offering a new app to help drivers pass their written exams.

Driver services director Ann Perry says the app gives you a general overview of what to expect when you come down for your written exam. “It goes over the laws and you take the test, and it has to be graded, and you get a response if it was pass or fail.”

While it won’t give you the answers, Perry says the program will make sure you’re prepared. “It’s not the same questions, but it’s the same sorts of questions, the same topic of questions you can expect when you come to take the test.”

The apps will also allow you to practice the test more than once without paying for each one. “You can take the test multiple times, and get the score immediately, and have a confidence when you come down to take the test. So you know what to expect and you feel knowledgeable about driving.”

The new app is available on both Apple and Android products.
