Governor Doyle says he’s happy to see President Obama paying so much attention to Wisconsin.

The President is set today to make his fifth stop in Wisconsin since taking office two years ago, which will also be the third this summer alone. Governor Jim Doyle says Obama seems to really like the Badger state, which he says is a reflection of their commitment to the state.

Obama will speak this afternoon at a Labor Day celebration in Milwaukee. Doyle, who is not running for re-election, says it’s still good to see the President helping fellow Democrats campaign and shows he understands the importance of the state.

The Governor says another reason why Obama may keep paying visits to southeastern Wisconsin is that it’s close to his old home in Chicago, making it easier to pay the Midwest a visit.
