Wisconsin businesses could soon find new research and business partners in Israel.

As part of a trade mission to Israel this week, Governor Jim Doyle signed a collaborative agreement with the government to work together on research and development. Doyle says the deal will allow Wisconsin businesses to better connect with those in Israel, and develop strategic partnerships.

Doyle is traveling with a delegation of Wisconsin business and government leaders.

The Governor says they hope to share information on issues such as water conservation, renewable energy, and stem cell research. He says they’ve met with several businesses this week to examine where those links may be.

The Governor also met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
