Recent rain has helped to ease some of the dry conditions across the state, although much of Wisconsin remains under a drought.

The U.S. Drought Monitor says more than 48 percent of Wisconsin is still listed as abnormally dry or worse, although some parts of the state have now lost their extreme drought listing. In the latest report, portions of Racine, Dane, Jefferson, and Waukesha counties had their status downgraded.

The northern cut-off for the drought remains the same though, with a line stretching from Eau Claire to Clintonville and down to the Sheboygan-Manitowoc County line.

Forecasters are predicting a chance of rain in the state every day through Sunday, along with warmer temperatures and highs in the 90s possible in some areas.
